According to the school, Virginia Intermont College was founded in 1884 by Baptist minister, J.R. Harrison. Virginia Intermont is a private, comprehensive college with a student to faculty ratio of 10 to 1, we provide a strong liberal arts education experience and we are committed to providing students with individualized attention as they prepare for their futures. VIC offers a variety of majors for students to pursue their passions, with specialty programs in art, business, education, equine studies, music, photography and theatre.
