Welcome to the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences. Founded in 1916, Swedish Institute has been focused on delivering quality education and training for graduates to pursue their passion. Not only was the school an early pioneer of offering massage therapy training, but it was also a pivotal advocate for the shaping of the massage therapy industry we know today.
The college is proud of its long-standing program in massage therapy, that leads to an Associate in Occupational Studies degree, and has since also added degree programs in Clinical and Administrative Medical Assistant, Surgical Technologist and Nursing. Three certificate programs are also offered in Medical Billing and Coding, Clinical Medical Assistant and Central Service Processing. Throughout its history, Swedish Institute has always maintained its dedication to providing hands-on training, innovative learning and program offerings designed to meet the needs of market demand. Swedish Institute participates in a variety of Federal and State programs that help qualified students pay for their education. The Financial Aid Office will assist you in obtaining the aid for which you qualify and that’s right for you. It’s recommended that you begin the process as soon as possible by completing the Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Classes are held at 226 W. 26th St. and 151 W. 26th St. Administrative Offices are in both locations.
