SUNY
Purchase College
Purchase College unusually combines conservatory programs in the arts with distinctive liberal arts programs. Its location in Westchester allows access to New York City 35 miles away, but provides a safe self-contained 500 acre campus in a suburban location that contains superb facilities, including a major Performing Arts Center and the Neuberger Museum of Art. Its academic programs combine attention to general education with structured curricula; all programs culminate in a required senior project, and increasingly students enter learning communities which provide faculty and peer mentors, advisors and shared academic and co-curricular activities.
