According to the school, Spalding University is a forward thinking university both in academic program design and delivery of instruction. Spalding University is a private not for profit institution, in the Catholic tradition and was founded by the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth. Guided by mission that seeks to meet the needs of the times, the university is achored around four centers of excellence granting both undergraduate and graduate degrees including: (a) College of Business and Communication, (b) College of Education, © College of Health and Natural Science, and (d) College of Social Sciences and Humanities. Theses centers of excellence offer twenty-four undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs. Instructional formats are designed to meet the needs of students in an urban environment by offering an education delivery system that provides shortened and focused course instruction. Undergraduate students may choose to attend weekend or evening classes if they meet program requirements. Graduate courses are offered in multiple formats and some programs are available through weekend and evening instruction.
