Moore College of Art & Design is dedicated to excellence in preparing students for lifelong learning and leadership in fine arts, design arts, art history and art education. With ten fine arts and design arts programs leading to a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Moore offers majors in Fashion Design, Fine Arts (2D and 3D concentrations), Art Education, Graphic Design, Photography/Digital Arts, Illustration, Interior Design, Curatorial Studies, Art History , and Textile Design. Minors are available in all majors except Art Education. Founded in 1848, and located on the beautiful Benjamin Franklin Parkway in the center of Philadelphia’s cultural district, Moore remains the only women’s college of the visual arts in the United States. As it has from the beginning. Moore continues to advance the role of women in the visual arts and to ensure their success by bridging the worlds of education and career. As a leader in the arts and cultural communities, Moore promotes the visual arts through distinctive education and gallery programs. With an average student population of 500 and a student to faculty ratio of 8:1, Moore is committed to maintaining a small school environment as the College continues to evolve in the 21st century.
