With its original 1875 building at the heart of campus, Indiana University of Pennsylvania receives frequent national accolades and recognition. IUP is home to more than 13,000 students and provides special academic challenges through the Robert E. Cook Honors College. IUP is the largest institution in Pennsylvania’s System of Higher Education and the only university authorized to confer doctoral degrees. IUP has more than 100 majors, varied internship and study abroad programs, 40 master’s degree programs, and eight doctoral degrees. IUP is home to the John Murtha Center for Homeland Security and is a center of excellence in Information Assurance.
