According to the school, several academic programs are designed to enhance the liberal arts curriculum at Greensboro College. The George Center for Honors Studies offers an honors program that is designed for students who have high levels of intellectual ability and motivation. Students have participated in collaborative service learning projects in places such as Trinidad and Tobago and Cordova, Alaska. Other programs include Precis, a new student orientation experience specifically designed for students to meet one another before classes begin; Writing Across the Curriculum, extensive reading, writing, listening, and speaking in every discipline; Ethics Across the Curriculum, established to foster discussion about ethics everywhere on campus; Leadership Development Program, offering opportunities including the Co-curricular Portfolio and Emerging Leaders Programs. In addition, Religious Life offers an array of opportunities that support and strengthen the spiritual development of all who are part of the Greensboro College community through the academic curriculum and student religious organizations.
