Fort Valley State University
According to the school, Fort Valley State University is the only public, senior, 1890 land-grant institution serving Georgia. The Cooperative Developmental Energy Program (CDEP) is the only one of its kind in the nation, partnering the University with the nation’s energy industry. The biology program leads the state system in preparing African American students for medical and health professions, and FVSU has the only certified veterinary technology program in the state. Study abroad opportunities are available in Belize, Benin, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Mexico, the Bahamas, Brazil, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Great Britain, Spain, and Germany.
