Medgar Evers College was founded in 1970 as part of the City University of New York, and name in honor of the slain civil rights leader Medgar Wiley Evers is an undergraduate commuter institution offering programs in business, education, natural sciences and mathematics, nursing and social sciences. The collge is home to many several center including, the Center for Law and Social Justice, the Caribbean Research Center, the Dubois Bunche Center for Public Policy, the Male Development and Empowerment Center, and the Center for Women’s Development. Our college motto is: Creating Success, One Student at a Time.
