According to the school, Atlanta Christian College, founded in 1937, educates students for Christ-centered service and leadership throughout the world. The College’s vision is to be the college of choice for students seeking a Christian learning community that is academically challenging, spiritually vibrant and globally engaged. \r\n\r\nWith an enrollment of more than 1,000 students, Atlanta Christian College offers degree programs in areas of study ranging from biblical studies to business. The Access program offers associate and bachelor’s degrees for adult learners, as well as online courses. The College provides a broad, comprehensive curriculum designed to prepare students for their chosen professions. Just as importantly, the College instills a sound Christian foundation that will enable students to be bold and effective witnesses for Christ, no matter where they serve.\r\n\r\nAtlanta Christian College’s students are part of a growing, vibrant community of believers who support and encourage one another; though many come from a Christian Church/Church of Christ tradition, the student body represents a variety of faith backgrounds. On the ACC campus, professors and students know each other by name and build relationships that last a lifetime. Students are encouraged to serve others, whether through a mission trip across the globe or a service project in downtown Atlanta. Students are also encouraged to get involved on campus, where activities include a variety of social, service, athletic and performing arts organizations. ACC’s intercollegiate athletic teams compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) at the Division II level.\r\nAtlanta Christian College graduates are working and serving in 43 states, three U.S. territories, more than 15 foreign countries, and with numerous campus ministries, Christian camps and churches. Whether called to full-time ministry or another career, Atlanta Christian College students and graduates are compassionately influencing an ever-changing world for Christ.\r\n\r\nIn late 2007, the College’s trustees announced their unanimous decision to pursue relocating the traditional campus. The current site, located just south of Atlanta, cannot accommodate the College’s planned growth. The trustees are in discussions with a number of municipalities interested in bringing ACC to their communities. Meanwhile, the College has opened a satellite location in Peachtree City, Ga. The board anticipates making a decision on a new location for the traditional campus in 2011.
